Emanuel Almborg
Swedish artist, Emanuel Almborg lives and works in Stockholm and London. He was a Whitney Independent Study Programme Studio recipient, New York City (2014-15) and is currently a PhD candidate at The Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm. Recent solo exhibitions include ‘Learning Matter’, Whitechapel Gallery, London (2017); ‘That Which Follows’, Konsthall C, Stockholm (2012); ‘Nothing is Left to Tell’, Muro Gallery, Geneva (2011) and ‘The Rest is Silence’, Formcontent, London (2009). Group exhibitions include ‘Mothers’, Turf Projects, London (2018); ‘A New Job To Unwork At’, Participant Inc, New York (2018); ‘With The Future Behind Us’, Moderna Museet, Stockholm (2018); ‘The Snow White Banquet’, Centre de Pompidou, Paris (2010) and ‘Runaway Train’, Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm (2010). Recent selected screenings and public events include the 32nd Bienal de São Paulo: ‘Incerteza Viva’ (2016) and ‘The Majority Never has Right on its Side’, Beursschouwburg, Brussels (2013).
