Charlie Danby
Charles Danby's paintings, drawings, and object constructions are reduced, intimate, and formal. His practice is process-led in its initiation, with logics derived from the internal structures of canvas, paper and photograph. The works are sensitive towards residue, peripheral edge, margin, and border, and engage with transitional processes between technologies.
Danby lives and works in London. In 2008 he was included in ‘If You Build IT They Will Come’ at G39, Cardiff Wales, ‘Pyramids’ Galleria del Cortile, Rome, and ‘Force and Beauty’ Yukiko Kawase Gallery, Paris.
