Beatriz Cortez is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. Her work has been shown recently at the Henry Art Gallery in Seattle; Ballroom Marfa, in Texas; Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, Colombia; Ford Foundation Gallery, New York; Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, Los Angeles; TEORé/Tica in San José, Costa Rica; Queens Museum, New York; and Socrates Sculpture Park, New York. Cortez has received the Artadia Los Angeles Award (2020), Frieze LIFEWTR Inaugural Sculpture Prize (2019), Rema Hort Mann Foundation Emerging Artist Grant (2018), and California Community Foundation Fellowship for Visual Artists (2016), among others.
Kang Seung Lee is a multidisciplinary artist who was born in South Korea and now lives and works in Los Angeles. Lee has had solo exhibitions at One and J. Gallery, Seoul, South Korea (2018); Artpace San Antonio, TX (2017); Commonwealth and Council, Los Angeles, CA (2017, 2016); Los Angeles Contemporary Archive, Los Angeles, CA (2016); and Pitzer College Art Galleries, Claremont, CA (2015). Selected group exhibitions include MMCA, Seoul (2020); Palm Springs Art Museum, CA (2019); Participant Inc, New York (2019); Canton Gallery, Guangzhou, China (2018); and LAXART, Los Angeles, CA (2017). Lee is the recipient of the CCF Fellowship for Visual Artists (2019), the Rema Hort Mann Foundation grant (2018), and Artpace San Antonio International Artist-in-Residence program (2017).
