Nigel Cooke

Nigel Cooke’s paintings are contradictory in many ways. While working on an epic scale, he painstakingly dwells upon the minutiae of decay and dissolution, he paints with scientific accuracy fictional scenes.  Each canvas is composed with consummate skill but offers a less-than-reassuring encounter with entropy and excess.
